What Is Reincarnation And Is it Real?

Reincarnation is actually a "belief" that when a certain person died, he will later be reborn into another human physical body. It is a life-cycle that continuously repeats itself for eternity.

Although, being resurrected could either have good or bad consequences which is dependent to the "Law of Karma". The Law of Karma states that:

"You sow what you reap".

This means that everything that you did in the past will later come back to you. Some says that the consequence or fortune will come back to you two-times in return.

Assuming that in your previous life, you had committed a lot of bad actions. As a result, your life will be full of miseries and sufferings as your punishments from the evil deeds that you had committed in your previous life. On the other hand, if you had dedicated your entire life doing good things in your previous life, you will reap a lot of good things in return from your next life.

Reincarnation in Hinduism

In Hinduism, they do have a slight differences to the general understanding of the public about Reincarnation. They actually do believe that when a human die, he or she won't either be resurrected back as a human being. It's because his or her next life-cycle could also be a plant or an animal. This means that when you died, you can be resurrected as an insect, dog, plant or some kind of other living creature here on Earth.

Thus, Hinduism fully respects every living creatures on Earth as they do believe that those bugs or plants could be their previous relatives or future member of their families.

Reincarnation in Buddhism

Based from the Buddhist scriptures, reincarnation is describe in comparison to a guesthouse. Consider your body as the guesthouse while your own mind as the guest staying on it. When the time comes that you die, your mind leaves your physical body and then recycled into another body on your next life. It's like you as a guest who leaves the guesthouse to go and live at another place or guesthouse.

Reincarnation in the Bible

The Bible strongly oppose "reincarnation". It's because Christian religious belief claims that when a certain person died, his physical body will decay and return to dust. As for his soul and spirit, it will either be resurrected or punished at the time when God's judgment will finally take place.

Other Basic Theories About Life After Death

Throughout the years, humans especially the unbelievers of God or followers of Jesus Christ had developed their own basic theories on how they perceived life-after-death.

1. There Is No Such Thing As Soul or Spirit

- There are some people who only believes on what they can see, touch or feel with their physical senses. Thus, they don't believe in the existence of soul or spirit. So when they die, they had already accepted to themselves that their death is the end of everything for them.

Disbelief in the existence of soul or spirit is also known as "materialism". Countries with so much technological advancement are the once that follows such kind of belief.

2. Dead People Becomes Ghosts

- "Paganism" is actually the belief that dead people's soul will turn into ghosts. A ghost can be described as a vague and shadowy image of the dead person.

Pagan belief can be traced back in the Old Testament of the Bible.

3. Different Levels of the Spiritual World

- In some religion, they do believe that when a person die, his soul will be sent on a spiritual world that corresponds to his actions when he was alive. Thus, if a person had committed sins that were unforgivable such as murder, his soul will be sent at the lowest level of the spiritual world. But, if his sins does not involve killing, his soul will be sent at a higher level than the previous one. On the other hand, people with good deeds will have their souls sent at the highest level of the spiritual world.

The lowest level of the spiritual world is comparable to "hell" which is a place where the soul are severely tortured for their punishments. On the middle level of the spiritual world, souls are given the second chance to correct their mistakes such as repenting for their sins. Then at the highest level of the spiritual world, this is the place where the souls of the people who did a lot of good things goes.

Controversial Questions About Reincarnation

Reincarnation is a topic with a lot of controversial questions about its validity. No one can really prove about its existence even in the field of science.

Here are the following controversial and conflicting questions about reincarnation:

1. If reincarnation implies that a soul enters a physical body to another body then why is the population of the world constantly growing? For reincarnation to be considered valid, there should be a set of number of souls that consistently populate the world at a certain fixed amount.

2. Reincarnation is against the belief of the existence of God but then, who decides where the soul go next? If this is the case, two souls can claim the same body.

3. If people are living out due to their karma especially those poor or homeless people, then why do you need to help them by giving donations to the charity? Isn't it that they deserve to be on that kind of situation?

4. Wise people often claim to "Learn from your mistakes". But, what's the point of being reincarnated if you cannot remember your past memories of your past lives?

5. Reincarnation is all about achieving enlightenment or perfection. Once a certain soul had reached such stage, the soul goes back to the source. The question is, hasn't anyone ever reached the source? It's because if this is the case then the world population should be decreasing as people able to reach their stage of perfection.

6. Evil is an unclear subject in the field of reincarnation. So if reincarnation is really true then where did they come from and what are they?

Meditation Leads to Perfection

Moreover, despite of all those conflicting questions about reincarnation some individuals who claimed to have achieved near perfection or enlightenment states that there is no human words that can explain the answers. In order for you to know the answers, you have to achieve perfection yourself.
